At "The Oar" Bistro you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea from
every table. This makes it an ideal place for lunch, sunset or evening
dining. Our menu features delectable selections prepared with the
finest local ingredients from land and sea. Whether lunching on our
delicious open steak sandwich, or dining on our seafood platter, you
have every reason to leave happy and satisfied. We are open daily and play host to house
guests, yachting and boating visitors, groups and plenty of day
trippers visiting from nearby Airlie Beach, Bowen, Proserpine and
surrounds.
We frequently play host to corporate groups, celebrations and weddings,
the open air venue with its associated decking, immediate beach front
location and sea views the perfect backdrop for photos. As the size of
our resort and facillities is limited, it is simple to book out the
entire venue making it easier to cater for your special needs. Contact

Bistro Hours:
Lunch from 11:30 AM to 2.30 PM
Dinner from 6:00 PM to 8.00 PM
House guests can pre-order breakfast packs.
Bar snacks, coffee and cake are available from the bar other times.

Accompanying any visit to Cape Gloucester Eco-Resort is a stopover for
a couple of quiet drinks at our fabulous open air bar. Set under the
pavilion roof and decked in timber, the bar is adjacent to our 25 metre
salt water resort pool, where you can watch the kids play. You will be
tempted by our selection of beers, spirits or select from our cocktail
menu. A "Gloucester Sunset " or Tropical Summer" ideally matching the
tropical setting. Enjoy your refreshments while also taking in the sea
views.
We welcome day visitors to the resort, which is accessible by car. You
will think that you are at an island resort, as our Westerly aspect and
absolute beach front looks over Edgecumbe Bay to Bowen and the mountain
ranges beyond.
No visit is complete without a walk on the beach with most guests staying on to capture the sun as it sets over the water.
