The Eco Resort
Conceived
in 1995 with the purchase of 150 acres on the
eastern shore of Edgecumbe Bay, Cape Gloucester
Eco-Resort was designed to be a small, inviting
and environmentally sustainable resort. With this
in mind the design, construction and mind set
of the developers manifested a welcoming boutique
resort with a friendly environment which happily
plays host to families, groups, couples, the eco-set,
weddings, functions, retreat holidaying and sailing
folk. The absolute beach front location, lightly
timbered foreshore, beach side accommodation and
nearby islands make for an idealic setting for
casual R and R or activity for the more energetic.
Today, the owners and operators of Cape Gloucester
Eco-Resort remain committed to the original motif
for the resort, that begins with a friendly greeting
at the beach side pavilion and ends with happy
memories. The ecological sustainable momentum
remains also, with a self rated 9 point eco plan.
